MaterCare USA is currently fundraising for manyattas (small house) for the St. John Paul II Hospital in Isiolo, Kenya. These structures will house women who are experiencing a high-risk pregnancy who need to be relocated nearer to the hospital to receive immediate medical attention in the event of an emergency. The estimated cost for these structures (seen below) is $15,000. Consider donating to MaterCare USA to help us ensure these women get the care they need.

MaterCare and the Holy Year of Mercy
MaterCare, in dedication to the Year of Mercy, will increase its efforts to provide essential obstetrical care at its maternity hospital in the Apostolic Vicariate of Isiolo, Kenya, for which it recently received an award of excellence from the County (Province) of Isiolo, and to begin work on the much needed obstetric fistula (birth injury) hospital. We are called to be merciful, and we can think of no greater act of mercy than caring for the neglected and suffering mothers of our world.
MaterCare extends an invitation to ALL Catholic medical professionals (we need volunteers especially obstetricians) and Catholic organizations to support this project.
